Marilyn Christine Piesse “Oma” went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 13, 2011. She was born at Innisfail on May 19, 1948. Marilyn spent her childhood on the family farm west of Bowden in the White Creek district where she started school. She later moved to Innisfail where she met her husband. She fought a hard battle living with cancer, but faced her pain with courage and faith.
She is survived by her brother William (Janice); niece Jennifer and her children Bonita Lynn, Tammy Lynn (Sean); her grandchildren Ashley (Chris), Robyn, Sidney, Ryan, Justin, Chantel, and Danielle. She was looking forward to the birth of her first great grandchild Gracie.
She was predeceased by her father Carl; mother Grace; sister Carolyneann and her wonderful loving husband David Allan “Papa”.
Marilyn always had kind words to say and wisdom when it was needed. It was her little wink or the rub on the back that made everything okay. She saw the joys in following the Lord with a servant’s heart. Oma taught us how to love and be loved. She was a woman who never complained even on days she was very ill. And even though she is no longer a part of us in the earthly sense, she will always abide in our hearts with fond memories. Oma was a very proud mother and grandmother. You will forever be missed angel Oma, forever in our hearts. “Gentle hugs and Jesus Joys”.
